We came across Simon Barlow's work at a local exhibition and straight away knew that his style of botanical paintings was exactly what we were looking for.

The process of talking with Simon, him visiting our home, us visiting his studio was a really enjoyable process. We were able to collaborate with Simon to get the painting we wanted for our specific space.

Simon is very personable and it was extremely important to him that we felt free to communicate our thoughts regarding the painting. He made sure we were happy with each stage of the process. A really helpful part of the process was when Simon sent photos of "mock up" paintings set in the space of our home we needed to fill. We were then able to make more informed decisions regarding colour and size.

We are thrilled with our beautiful painting and constantly receive compliments on it.

After seeing his work displayed in a gallery, I first commissioned Simon in around 2009 to do a painting for my home based on his gum flowers series. He was responsive, helpful and knowledgeable. He came to my house and helped me choose the location and size of the painting, as well as to gain an understanding of what I wanted in the painting. He gave me a fixed price and sent me some mock-ups after his visit so that I could picture what the final painting would look like in my house. The finished product was exactly what I was after and takes pride of place in the centre of my lounge room. He even hung the painting for me! In around 2013 I commissioned Simon to do a second painting for my home based on his gum pods series. Again, he assisted me with the size and style of the painting during the commissioning process, and I was again extremely happy with the result. I am a big fan of Simon's work and my experiences with him have been professional and rewarding. I would highly recommend him.
